OHSAA Meetings

Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Oceana Middle School cafeteria. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Mix-n-Mingle

Come share good food and good company at the Mix-n-Mingle. The menu is Soup, Sandwiches, and Desserts. We will also be honoring the OHSAA Scholarship Winners!

10th Annual OHS Reunion Picnic

DATE: 4 Aug 2012
LOCATION: Gilliland Park, Oceana
TIME: 1 to 5 P.M.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

• Early Registration Begins: 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
• Welcome & Opening Activities: 1:00 p.m.
• Pictures (Decades, classes, groups, etc): 1:15 - 2:15 p.m.
• Food Served: 2:30 p.m.
• Drawings Throughout the Day!

All OHS graduates, students, faculty and friends of OHS are invited. If you are a member of the OHSAA and have paid your dues for the year then there is no further cost, just come and enjoy. If you pay at the picnic the cost is $10 per person.

The Chief and Princess will be chosen by random drawing from those attending and present at time of drawing.

You can pay your dues ahead of time and avoid the lines at registration! For a membership application, click here. We will have a separate registration table for those who have paid in advance.

If you haven't attended, you've missed a great opportunity to renew old friendships and make new ones. We'll be LOOKING FOR YOU!!

2nd Annual OHS Alumni Golf Outing

DATE: 4 Aug 2012
LOCATION: Clearfork Valley Golf Course
TIME: 7:30 a.m.

Clearfork Valley Golf Course will host the 2nd annual OHS Alumni golf outing on the morning of August 4, 2012. The golf outing will be over in plenty of time for participants to attend the Alumni Picnic

If you graduated, attended, taught, or worked at OHS, or are the spouse or child of someone who did, you are eligible to play in the OHS Alumni golf outing. Interested players are encouraged to register early by emailing Steve Davis at stephendavis1@live.com or by calling Toney Bowels at 304-682-6209.

The outing will be a scramble format with a blind draw to establish teams. Come by yourself or bring your buddies but teams will be chosen with a blind draw of participants.

Play will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. so teams can be chosen and play can be started promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Cost will be $40.00 per player including green fees, cart rental, and breakfast. If you plan on attending the Alumni Picnic you will have to pay for that separately. The picnic will be from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. The cost of the picnic is $10.00 per person.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams with the winning team members names placed on a plaque that will remain at the clubhouse.

So save the date and plan on having the most fun you can have at golf!

Annual OHSAA Christmas Dinner

DATE: December 3, 2012
LOCATION: Toneda Baptist Church, Toney Fork
TIME: 6:30 P.M.

You are invited to attend and enjoy a great meal and the fellowship of those who have the same goal of keeping the spirit of OHS alive. Roast Beef & gravy, ham, broccoli casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn and rolls will be provided. You are asked to bring a dessert or soft drinks. Plan to come celebrate the holiday season with your fellow alumni!
