OHS HALL OF FAME
The Oceana High School Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for the OHS Hall of Fame. The committee is looking for individuals (living or deceased) who must have either graduated from OHS or must have contributed ten (10) or more years of service to the school. Individuals who are selected will be honored at the annual induction ceremony in May, receive a plaque, and their name will be added to the OHS Hall of Fame plaque located in the Oceana Middle School auditorium. Nominations are due by December 1st, letters post marked after December 1st will be held and considered the following year.
Candidates must be nominated to be considered for inclusion in the Hall of Fame. If you know someone you think should be considered please nominate them! You can nominate up to three (3) candidates per year by completely filling out the nomination form found here and mailing it to:

Once the Selection Committee receives your nomination form a nomination letter and credential form will be mailed to the nominee which must be returned to the Selection Committee for the candidate to be considered.
About the Hall of Fame Committee
The OHS Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization separate from the OHSAA. It was established in 1995 with the purpose of recognizing and honoring graduates and/or benefactors of Oceana High School. The Selection Committee consists of at least seven, but no more then eleven members, all of whom must be graduates of Oceana High School.
FAQ
Q:I think (insert name here) really should be in the OHS Hall of Fame so why aren't they?
A: This is THE most asked question and there could be several reasons why someone isn't in the Hall of Fame:
- They haven't been nominated yet. Don't assume someone else has nominated someone you feel is deserving because they may not have.
- They were nominated but didn't send back the credential form. Some candidates have been nominated several times but continually refuse to return the required form.
- They were nominated and returned the form but refused entry into the Hall of Fame once selected...and YES! this has happened.
- They were nominated and returned the form but haven't been selected by the committee.
Q: If I nominated someone and they weren't selected, do I have to nominate them again the following year?
A: No, their credential form is kept on file and will automatically be reconsidered the following year(s).
Q: I received my nomination letter and credential form but forgot to send it back. Can I still send it in?
A: Yes, there is no time limit on when you can send back the required information.
